The Leather Clinic’s Leather Colour Coat Kit is an easy DIY recolouring tool which allows you to match the colour of your leather item exactly. Easily recolour and repair sofas, furniture, car seats, bags, shoes, jackets and equestrian apparel. Suitable for small areas which are faded or worn, this kit contains everything you will need to match and apply a colourant and a finish sealant. In the kit, you’ll find step by step instructions and a colour mixing guide, for simple application and professional results. Each kit comes with 60ml base colourant in a pre-matched colour. Start off by applying a small drop of the base colour onto the leather with a cotton wool bud. Let it dry, then evaluate the colour. Use the tints and the colour mixing guide to adjust the shade until you have a perfect match. You can then recolour and seal your leather to repair the affected area.

Step 1
Make sure the surface of the leather has been thoroughly cleaned with an Alcohol Cleaner. Removing all dirt and oil before application ensures a better absorption of the colourant.
Step 2
Use the Colour Mixing Guide to determine which tint(s) to add to the base colour to adjust the shade. Add a small amount of the tint(s) to the base colour and mix it together.
Step 3
Once you are happy with the colour, apply it to the application sponge and dab the colour onto the repair area. Continue to apply further coats. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.
