Using industry knowledge, and the highest quality components our Glass Repair Kit has been specifically designed to ensure a professional and straight forward process for repairing light scratches and surface marks on glass, car windscreens, side windows and other non-toughened glass.
The product is suitable for domestic and commercial glass repairs, and comes complete with comprehensive instructions. All that is required is an electric drill to house the spindle and polishing pad, to which the Cerium Oxide paste is applied.
Please take care when applying pressure to windows and glass as too much pressure and continued contact may cause the glass to heat up, we recommend short burst of 20 – 30 seconds, occasionally spraying the area with cool water.
For deep scratches, (anything deeper than 1mm – 2mm) it is recommended to use our Liquid Glass Resin Repair Kit (coming soon). Use our Diamond Glass Cleaner after your repair to provide a lasting protective barrier.
Warning: Avoid the Glass Polish compound coming into contact with skin or eyes. If contact does occur wash area with plenty of water. Glass Polish compound contains Cerium Oxide.
Step 1
Obtain an electric or cordless drill. Max Speed up to 2000 rpm. For automotive applications, it is advisable to mask off any paintwork that will be in close proximity to the damaged area during the repair.
Step 2
Fix the backing plate to the drill and fix a felt polishing pad. Carefully apply some Glass Polish compound to the pad, start the drill and place the face of the felt pad to the damaged area, making sure to move the pad with a rocking motion across the scratch.
Step 3
When the Glass Polish compound dries out, you should also stop the drill. Wet the pad to reinvigorate the compound or add more compound and continue until the scratch or marks are completely gone.
